Cherry Eromosele is a dynamic marketing & communications professional who currently leads the Group Marketing function at Interswitch, a leading Africa-focused integrated electronic payments and commerce company ranked by Deloitte as Africa’s fastest growing technology company of 2014.
At Interswitch, Cherry is responsible for creating and implementing innovative marketing strategies towards building the entire Interswitch brand portfolio – spanning the masterbrand, as well as both the corporate and consumer segments of the business.
In this capacity, she provides leadership and direction, inspiring the marketing & corporate communications team to execute the group’s dynamic marketing initiatives and communications programs geared towards achieving key objectives of maintaining and enhancing brand awareness & preference, customer acquisition, and quality connection with the business’ target markets. Her role includes developing sound and sustainable processes to execute the group’s brand vision and corporate objectives within the competitive landscape against set metrics.
Ultimately, these metrics are solid foundations to ensure sustained growth in revenue across the business in line with overall objectives.
She is a dynamic, pragmatic, performance-driven professional with 20+ years marketing management experience, having contributed significantly to the changing face of marketing in Nigeria and across Africa in diverse industry sectors such as FMCG, telecoms, HealthCare and Payments/Technology. Over time, she has attended several marketing management and leadership courses at globally renowned institutions including Lagos Business School (LBS), Cranfield University School of Management, Columbia Business School, New York and most recently the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania. Cherry is also a fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN).
Prior to Interswitch, she had garnered robust local and multinational experience with increasing responsibility across Diageo as Marketing Manager on Guinness Brands, MTN as Senior Manager and most recently GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as Head of Marketing, Nutritionals.
She leads a focused, motivated and very dynamic team with proven success in traditional and innovative campaigns across the broad spectrum of today’s marketing channels.
On the personal front, Cherry is highly passionate about mentoring and finding ways to give back through charitable causes.
When she’s not busy reviewing the latest integrated marketing plans for marketing campaigns for the business, she’s likely to be found facilitating career/capability-building and entrepreneurship fora for young people.
